Aunt Ashley got married in October. You and Lauren were in the wedding party. This was the very first time you wore a big boy tie and a white shirt. After the wedding, there was dinner and dancing and you danced all night long. You can move. The only way to stop you from crying, mid tantrum, is to sing "the wheels on the bus". You will stop, then start to rock side to side. It is pretty funny. Your very favorite songs are the theme song to Dora the Explorer and Diego. You run around saying "ohhh, ahhhh" from Diego. At night we sing "I am a child of God" as his bedtime song and "Would you like to live on the moon" as your special song. Every night we sit in the rocking chair and read books (you love books) and you snuggle for a minute. You are so easy to put to sleep. No fusses or tears. I just put you in your bed and you grab your lambie and go right to sleep. You will sleep until 10:00 am if I let you. You wake with a smile. We call it the wake up smile. Lauren will wait to hear you start to stir and will run in to "get the wake up smile". We fight over who gets to see that smile first.

Halloween is our favorite time of year. We always go to the pumpkin patch by the beach. It is so cool to have green fields, dotted with orange pumpkins and the blue ocean all in the same view. We have been going since Lauren was 2 months old and we always take a picture at the same place so we can mark how much you kids have grown.

This year you had so much fun with the animals in the petting zoo. You are not afraid of anything and especially loved it when the goats licked your face. Dad and I are still waiting for a situation that DOESN"T make you happy. YOu are finally getting old enough for Lauren to play with. She can boss you around and you love any attention that you can get.

You were Yoda for Halloween this year and Dad was Luke Skywalker. Because you are so small, seeing you walk around in your Yoda robe and ears was like seeing the real Yoda. We went to Aunt Erin and Uncle Will's house to go trick or treating. Sweetie (grandma) and Grandpa came to watch you and Lulu go. All you wanted to do was walk up to the door and peek in the house. You didn't want the candy at all. Lauren was Annie at school and a leopard on Halloween night. Two super cute kiddo's.

Cubby's first birthday!! We went to Disneyland for the long weekend to celebrate his birthday. Still the perfect baby. The tradition in our family is that you get to eat a whole piece of cake on your birthday. He sure did it! He got cake all over othe chair, his face, the carpet, etc, etc. The other thing that he got to do is open and pull out an entire box of wipes. That is what he wants to do all the time and I don't let him, so that was his birthday present. He still looked a little bit sheepish.......Happy birthday big boy!

What a big boy! This is right before church. He looked so big to me right here. He has a big boy shirt on and his little shorts and real, big boy shoes (that never last long...he takes them off and throws them). I had just given him a hair cut and he suddenly looked like a big boy. I can't believe that just one year ago he was a tiny little baby. This year feels like it has flown by.

This is a common picture in our house. Derek loves to play the piano, and Cubby does too. The minute he hears the lid open he races to the living room. He will stick his hands up and just plunk on the keys and he thinks he is hot stuff. Back then, he didn't know how to open the lid by himself...now he can. Many times I have found him sitting on the bench just pounding away. Now he has started singing too.
