This is the word we hear all day long. He actually knows what it means. At first he would just say something that sounded like "eeeeeeessss". It started because he would grunt and point when he wanted something (usually food) so in order to avoid teaching caveman habits we made him make a sound...any sound..... before he would get what he wanted. He is a very smart cookie and it only took him about three tries to realized that if he said "eeeeesssss" he would get what he wanted. It was his only word for a long time (he has since added Mama, Dada and Lulu to the mix).
He also likes to "talk" to us. He will sit down by me and say "mamma". If I don't answer he will say it again "MAMMA". Usually I say "yes, sweetheart?" and he will reply "blkero wsoduowier souwerhweltijhaet" Lots of words, lots of sounds and occasionally actions...but not real words. He can have a "conversation" with me for quite awhile. It is pretty funny. He knows that talking is when we each take turns. He always makes me answer him and engage. I can't get away with just pretending.
The problem that we have now is that the thinks if he says "please" he should get what he wants all the time. Even when it is something dirty or dangerous. He says the word so clearly...it is tempting to give him what he wants...but often we don't and that brings on the tantrums.
This brings me to my next part...
This boy has a TEMPER!! He so rarely gets upset or sad it always suprises me when he starts to rage. Lauren could usually be talked out of a big tantrum...or she would forget. Not this little man...he remembers that he is mad and you cannot laugh him out of it. He gets so mad he claps his hands really hard together, he will throw things......
I know that that kind of tenacity will be what makes him a successful person. I can already see that he will be the kind of kid/man that will not stop once he sets his mind on something. This will serve him well in life......we just need to teach him to control it. But even when he is mad..he is still so cute. The tear drops roll down his little cheeks and his gorgeous eyelashes get wet and stuck together.
He is such a handsome kid and we love him very much.
